IDG’s partnership with the Elk Grove Village Public Library has resulted in the transformation of several areas throughout their facility. The complete redesign of the lighting for the poorly lit youth and adult services sections, as well as the stacks area, has created more dynamic, energy-efficient spaces.
Underutilized areas have been converted into meeting rooms, a recording room and a new maker’s lab which provide new services to the library patrons.
The library’s large multi-purpose boardroom was completely remodeled with a new kitchen. Two operable partitions provide the flexibility to divide the room into a variety of sizes to accommodate any event big or small. Hidden storage closets and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, including a hearing loop for the hearing impaired, only add to the room’s versatility.
